Malaysia has great farming potential. Our farmers work hard, our land is fertile, and our climate allows us to grow a wide range of crops. FreshMove exists to help bring that potential closer to the people who need it.
Fixing The Gap Between Farms And Buyers
Malaysia imports a large amount of food every year, even though many local farmers are already producing quality vegetables and fruits. The challenge is not always about what farmers can grow. The bigger challenge is getting the produce to the right buyers.
Many farmers face difficulties finding consistent customers, managing demand, handling packaging requirements, and getting fair value for their harvest. At the same time, restaurants, hotels, and retailers often struggle to find a reliable fresh produce supplier in Malaysia that can provide quality products consistently.
FreshMove was created to solve this gap.
By connecting Malaysian farmers directly with businesses, we are working towards a stronger agricultural supply chain where farmers have better access to markets and buyers have a more reliable way to source fresh produce.
Our Journey Started With A Simple Question
FreshMove started with a visit to Cameron Highlands.
During his university years, our founder Md Farhad Hossain visited local farms and saw something that stayed with him. The quality of the produce was impressive, but many farmers were still facing challenges when it came to selling their harvest.
It raised a simple question: if Malaysia can grow such good produce, why are farmers still struggling to reach the customers who need it?
That question led to further exploration and a small farming experiment in Puchong. The results showed that many crops could grow successfully in Malaysia when given the right conditions and support.
However, one important issue became clear. Growing the produce was only one part of the journey. Connecting farms with buyers was the missing link.
This became the reason behind FreshMove.
